Three more COVID-19 deaths reported in Chatham-Kent

The 42nd, 43rd and 44th COVID-19 deaths have been reported in Chatham-Kent.

Public health officials say the most recent deaths were a woman in her 90’s, a woman in her 80’s and a man in his 50’s.

CK Public Health officials say 49 new COVID-19 cases were reported on Tuesday, increasing the total number of cases to 5,734 since the pandemic began.

A total of 14 people are hospitalized for COVID-19 at the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance, public health officials added.

The current seven day rolling average case count (average number per day) sits at 62.

Public health officials say 11 outbreaks are active across Chatham-Kent:

– An outbreak at Fairfield Park in Wallaceburg, declared on January 24, 2022, involves seven cases.

– An outbreak at St. Andrew’s Residence in Chatham, declared on January 21, 2022, involves nine cases.

– An outbreak at an un-named group home, declared on January 17, 2022, involves nine cases.

– An outbreak at Village on the Ridge in Ridgetown, declared on January 17, 2022, involves 29 cases.

– An outbreak at an un-named group home, declared on January 14, 2022, involves three cases.

– An outbreak at an un-named group home, declared on January 13, 2022, involves three cases.

– An outbreak at Park Street Place in Dresden, declared on January 12, 2022, involves 26 cases.

– An outbreak at an un-named group home, declared on January 10, 2022, involves 13 cases.

– An outbreak at Riverview Gardens in Chatham, declared on January 10, 2022, involves 15 cases.

– An outbreak at Wallaceburg Retirement Residence, declared on January 4, 2022, involves 12 cases.

– An outbreak at Hudson Manor in Tilbury, declared on January 3, 2022, involves 29 cases.

Public health officials say a total of 204,821 doses of the COVID-19 vaccine have been administered to date, 84,477 people 5+ have received at least one dose, 79,359 people 5+ have received two doses and 42,468 5+ have received three doses.
