Women charged with facilitating a breach

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: On February 7, 2022 a woman communicated with a person she knew was on conditions not to communicate with her.

Police investigated and subsequently arrested the 29-year-old Chatham woman with facilitating a breach of conditions.

She was later released with conditions and a future court date of March 23, 2022.

Man breaches release conditions

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: On November 26, 2021 the man was released by the court on conditions including not to communicate with the victim and to not attend their residence.

Yesterday evening at approximately 6 p.m. police learned the man had breached both of these conditions.

The 34-year-old Chatham man was subsequently arrested and charged with two counts of failing to comply with his release order.

He was held in custody pending a bail hearing.

Woman charged with assaulting police

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: Last night at approximately 9:30 p.m. police responded to a person causing a disturbance in the area of Margaret Avenue in Wallaceburg.

While investigating the incident a police officer was assaulted by the person.

The 51-year-old Wallaceburg woman was arrested for one count of mischief and one count of assault.

She was transported to Chatham-Kent Police Headquarters and held pending a bail hearing.

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: The Chatham-Kent Police are looking for the public’s assistance with identifying the person, pictured above, in regard to a theft investigation in Chatham.
