Female charged with failing to comply

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: Yesterday afternoon, police observed the female party known to them from previous police occurrences.

Through investigation, police learned that the 27-year-old Shrewsbury female was wanted for two counts of failing to attend court and impaired operation of a motor vehicle.

Upon arrest the police located a small amount of crack cocaine; subsequently, the accused was charged with Possession of Schedule One Substance.

The accused has been held in custody pending a bail hearing.

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: The Chatham-Kent Police are looking for the public’s assistance locating the owner of a Wallenstein wood splitter.

Police are requesting anyone with information or attempting to claim the wood splitter provide proof of purchase or detailed information regarding ownership.

The Chatham-Kent Police Service would also like to remind parents that child sexual abuse includes a wide range of behaviours and situations — offences can range from one-time occurrences to multiple experiences; from one offender to multiple offenders; with or without the use of violence.

Offences can also vary from non-contact sexual offences, such as voyeurism or exposing a child to pornography, to hands-on sexual offences.
