Vehicle stop leads to impaired arrest in Chatham
Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: At approximately 6:30 p.m., police were called to the area of 756 St. Clair Street in Chatham for a male who was possibly driving while impaired in the drive-thru.
Police arrived and located the driver and issued an approved roadside screening device to which the driver blew a fail.
A 39-year-old Chatham man was arrested for 80 Plus and released with a future court date of March 18, 2022.
Traffic stop leads to drug charges in Wallaceburg
Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: At approximately 9:55 a.m., an officer on general patrol observed a vehicle with two persons slumped over in the vehicle.
The officer conducted a well-being check and during the interaction, the officer learned that the driver had an active warrant out of Sarnia.
The woman was subsequently arrested and transferred to Sarnia Police.
Further investigation revealed that the passenger was in possession of suspected Fentanyl, cash, scales,
and an imitation handgun.
A Wallaceburg woman was arrested for possession for the purpose of trafficking and was released with a future court date of April 21, 2022.
