Woman charged with facilitating a breach

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: On January 15, 2022 a man was released from Court with conditions not to communicate or associate with a specific woman.

Yesterday, police attended the woman’s residence for a different matter when police located the male and female together.

Police learned that the woman had been communicating with the man and invited him over to her residence.

The 26-year-old Chatham woman was arrested and charged with one count of facilitating a breach.

She was released pending a future court date of May 20, 2022.

The 29 year old Chatham man has been arrested for two counts of failing to comply with his release order and is currently pending a future court date.

Mischief in Chatham

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: This morning at approximately 3 a.m. police attended a business on Lacroix Street in Chatham in response to a man kicking the front of the building and causing damage.

Upon attending, police located the male who is familiar to them.

The 50-year-old Chatham man has been arrested for one count of mischief and released with a future court date of April 26, 2022.

Traffic enforcement

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: Yesterday afternoon officers conducted traffic enforcement in the area of Wheatley, focusing on proper speeding and stop sign enforcement.

Police observed multiple vehicle in the area; fortunately no driving infractions were observed.

One driver has been cautioned for license plate not clearly visible.
