Search continues for missing Merlin man

The search continues for a missing Merlin man.

“Chatham-Kent Police are continuing to investigate the disappearance of Franco Basanesze, 45, of Raleigh Township,” police officials said in a media release on Tuesday, march 29, 2022.

No new information has been released by the police.

As previously reported, police officials said on Wednesday, March 16, 2022 that Basaneze was reported missing on Tuesday, March 15, 2022.

He was last seen around 10:30 p.m. on Monday, March 14, 2022 in the area of Rivard Line in Grande Pointe, police say.

He was operating a grey 2009 Ford Fusion bearing Ontario license plate CBSZ 696.

He is described as 5’3, 160 lbs., brown eyes, and brown hair.

He was last seen wearing a blue hoodie and blue pants with boots.
