Police: Coordinated effort to make two arrests, B&E under investigation in Blenheim

Man and woman arrested on outstanding warrants

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: Yesterday morning at 10:23 a.m. the Ontario Provincial Police Lambton County contacted the Chatham-Kent Police regarding two outstanding warrants.

They advised they had two individuals in custody wanted by the Chatham-Kent Police Service.

Through a coordinated effort between both police services a 44-year-old Sombra man was transported to Chatham-Kent Police headquarters and later released with conditions and a future court date of June 28, 2022.

A 42-year-old Sombra woman was arrested by the Ontario Provincial Police and released with a future court date in Chatham-Kent.

Crime of the Week

Chatham-Kent Crime Stoppers officials allege: Sometime before or around May 11, 2022 unknown parties entered the business of Store and Save in Blenheim, entered a secured storage unit and removed approximately $3,000 worth of property.

Items taken include table saw and drill press.

The incident remains under investigation by uniform patrol.
