A special weather statement has been issued in Chatham-Kent, as significant rainfall amounts are possible.
Forecasters say hazards, include: Total rainfall amounts of 25 to 50 mm expected by Tuesday morning and locally higher amounts are also possible in areas that receive thunderstorms.
The timing is this afternoon, through Tuesday morning.
“Showers and occasional thunderstorms are expected to move across the region as a cold front approaches from the west,” Environment Canada officials say.
“The precipitation is expected to end on Tuesday as a cold front moves through. Rainfall warnings may be required for some areas as this event draws closer.”
