The Chatham-Kent Public Health Unit provided the latest COVID-19 statistics in the community on Wednesday, June 8, 2022.
One new death was reported on Wednesday.
A total of 77 Chatham-Kent residents have died from the virus since the pandemic began in March of 2020, public health officials say.
CK Public Health officials say 41 new COVID-19 cases were reported on Wednesday, increasing the total number of cases to 8,768 since the pandemic began.
No one is hospitalized for COVID-19 at the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance, public health officials added.
The current seven day rolling average case count (average number per day) is at six.
There are three outbreaks active across Chatham-Kent, two in groups homes and another in a congregate living setting.
A total of 226,912 doses of the COVID-19 vaccine have been administered to date, 85,197 people 5+ have received at least one dose, 82,320 people 5+ have received two doses and 50,837 people 5+ have received three doses.
CK Public Health officials say as of the week of May 1 the Chatham-Kent COVID-19 Surveillance Report will be updated once per week on Wednesdays by 11 a.m.
