The photo above features volunteer members of the Wallaceburg Fire Department battling a blaze at the old Arlington Hotel.
The building, which was located on Wallace Street, was vacant at the time of the fire, which occurred on April 29, 1942.
A large crowd gathered to watch the blaze.
