Downtown Wallaceburg BIA unveils new logo

The Downtown Wallaceburg Business Improvement Association (BIA) has unveiled a brand new logo.

Kelsey Nydam, executive director with the BIA, explained on social media why they chose the design:

1. Representing our history and community passion

Downtown Wallaceburg has a strong connection to our history as a passionate and hardworking community. We hope this is reflected in our choice to include:

– A depiction of the L.O. Stonehouse walking bridge, a structure that has been re-imagined over the decades, and one that the community has fought hard to keep.

– A style that mimics stained glass as a nod to Wallaceburg’s centuries as a glass manufacturing town

2. Our unique location on the Sydenham River

We are so lucky to be located on 207 km of mapped and signed water trails. It is our mission to better use this asset to promote our downtown.

3. Revitalization

We wanted to use the image of the sun and the colours orange and yellow to represent growth and vibrancy. We are so proud to see several changes and increased business activity in our Downtown despite the recent hardships.

“This business improvement association (BIA) is funded and led by your local business owner’s,
Nydam said.

“We are pushing forward with a renewed energy and excitement for the future of our Downtown Wallaceburg. This is our first step in the creation of our new website site and paddle rental promotion. All made thanks to WEtech Alliance and Tourism Innovation Lab.”

Nydam said to keep following the BIA for more news and updates.
