Man Arrested for Uttering Threats

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: On August 16, 2022, at 6:34 a.m., Police responded to a disturbance on Bridge Street in Wallaceburg.

Through investigation, Police learned the man was knocking on a home and was confronted by the neighbours.

A verbal argument began resulting in the man threatening to burn the neighbour’s house down.

The 33-year-old Walpole Island man was located on Wallace Street in Wallaceburg and arrested.

He was transported to police headquarters and held pending a bail hearing.

Man Arrested on Warrant

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: Shortly before 7:00 a.m., police responded to a suspicious person complaint on Longwoods Road in Chatham Township.

The man was reported sitting outside of a residence at the mailbox.

The man was told to leave by the homeowner but remained.

Upon arrival, police learned the man was bound by a release order to remain in the City of Toronto and was wanted on an outstanding warrant by the Toronto Police Service.

The 39-year-old Toronto man was arrested and transported to police headquarters.

He was later returned to the Toronto Police Service and transported back to Toronto.

Man Arrested for Impaired Driving

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: Last night at 11:17 p.m., police responded to a complaint of a vehicle travelling southbound on Charing Cross Road swerving between lanes and driving on the shoulder of the road.

Officers located the vehicle and conducted a traffic stop.

Police believed the driver, and lone occupant, to be driving while impaired.

A Standard Field Sobriety Test was performed.

The man was arrested and transported to police headquarters for further tests.

A 44-year-old Blenheim, has been charged with operating a motor vehicle while impaired.

He has been released with conditions pending a future court date of September 8, 2022.
