Community Navigators with Chatham-Kent Employment and Social Services are hosting an ID clinic in partnership with Chatham-Kent Public Library, Service Ontario and Service Canada for anyone who needs help applying for personal identification documents.
This clinic will be held at the Wallaceburg Branch on Tuesday, September 13, 2022 from 1 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.
At this clinic, individuals will be supported by Community Navigators with filling out online or paper Birth Certificate applications for all Canadian provinces.
If an individual requires photo ID, this clinic will help them understand the purpose of the Ontario Photo ID card, and will learn the steps required to register for one.
Information on how to apply for an Ontario Health Card and support with the application will also be available.
Service Canada will be on site to assist anyone who needs to apply for a Social Insurance Number (SIN) or Personal Access Code and to answer any questions related to their services.
Service Ontario will also be on site to answer questions about photo ID cards and Ontario health cards.
Individuals are not required to register for this clinic.
Those who attend will be served on a first come, first served basis.
There is no fee to attend and access these services.
Financial screening will be available for anyone who may need assistance with payment for identification.
Please note that identification cards will not be issued at this clinic.
The clinic will provide support with application for identification only.
Individuals can expect to hear about their application status approximately 4-6 weeks after it is submitted.
