Wallaceburg’s Tanner Cole was selected this past weekend in the annual National Lacrosse League draft.
The Halifax Thunderbirds selected the 19-year-old transition player in the fifth round with the 86th overall pick.

Cole played last season with the Oakville Buzz of the Ontario Junior A Lacrosse League.
He recorded 16 points in 19 games.
Cole played parts of five seasons with the Wallaceburg Red Devils Junior ‘B’ Lacrosse Club, tallying 201 points in 58 games from 2016 to 2019 and in 2022.
