The public is invited to attend a healing walk and gathering on Thursday, September 29 from 10:30 a.m. until 12 p.m. in Wallaceburg.
“Please wear orange to show your support for reconciliation efforts and help heal, nurture hope and reconciliation in our communities,” Municipal officials say.
“The walk will start at the Chatham-Kent Public Library Wallaceburg branch (209 James Street) at 10:30 a.m. and will end with a gathering at Civic Square Park (779 Dufferin Ave). This event is being held by our Diversity Equity, Inclusion and Justice Team in partnership with Walpole Island First Nation Employment and training.”
