Charges laid after a crash on Highway 40 between Wallaceburg and Chatham

OPP officials allege: On November 25, 2022, at approximately 9:38 a.m., members of the Chatham Detachment responded to a two-vehicle collision, involving a transport truck and a passenger vehicle, on St. Clair Road at Electric Line, Municipality of Chatham-Kent.

The road was closed for approximately 30 minutes while the collision was investigated.

The driver and lone occupant of passenger vehicle was transported to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The driver and lone occupant of the transport truck was uninjured.

As a result of the investigation, the driver of the passenger vehicle, 70-year-old of Windsor, Ontario was charged with Disobey stop sign – fail to stop.
