CKRec opening registration for winter programming

Registration for CKRecreation’s winter programming opens December 5, 2022.

Programs start in January and will include popular youth and inclusive recreation programs, including March Break camps, in addition to our highly sought-after swimming lessons, Municipal officials say.

“Our team is excited to be able to provide fun and meaningful opportunities for our community to stay active and social this winter,” said Raphael Robinson, Manager of Recreation Services and Community Engagement, in a media release.

“We continue to hear through our community engagement efforts how important affordable and barrier free recreation opportunities are for Chatham-Kent residents. We are confident our extensive program roster offers the activities our community is looking for this winter.”

This winter will also see CKRecreation’s required transition from Canadian Red Cross swimming lessons to those provided through the Lifesaving Society.

Parents can find an easy to navigate chart online that shows the equivalent Lifesaving Society level, allowing them to ensure their child is registered in the correct course.

Registration opens December 5 and can be completed online, by calling 311 or visiting your local municipal centre.
