Break and enter to commit robbery charge laid in Wallaceburg

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: Yesterday afternoon police responded to a residence on Westcourt Blvd. in Wallaceburg for a break and enter complaint.

Through investigation it was determined that the male involved broke into the residence, stealing property and assaulting the female home owner.

The male had fled the area prior to police arrival.

Last night police responded to the area of Westcourt Blvd. as the male was observed in the area.

Police located the male and he was arrested for two counts of Failing to Comply with his Undertaking and Break and Enter Commit Robbery.

The 38-year old male was transported to the Chatham-Kent Police Headquarters for booking and was held for a bail hearing.
