Police: Breach of probation, outstanding warrants

Man arrested for failing to comply with probation order

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: On June 9, 2022 a man entered into a probation order with conditions including not to communicate with a woman.

At 10:15 a.m. on December 26, 2022, police responded to a complaint in which the man had sent several messages to the woman by email and text.

Through investigation, police determined that the man had breached the conditions of his probation order.

The 29-year-old man was subsequently located and arrested for failing to comply with a probation order.

He was held in police custody pending a bail hearing.

Man arrested on outstanding warrants

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: At 11:56 a.m. police conducted a traffic stop on Albert Street in Wallaceburg.

Through investigation it was learned that a passenger in the vehicle, who was known to police, was wanted on two outstanding warrants.

The 34-year-old man was subsequently arrested on the strength of these warrants and released with a future court date.

Man arrested for failing to comply with release order

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: On December 2, 2022 the Chatham-Kent Police received a request from a neighbouring police service to locate and arrest a man for breaching a communication condition on his release order.

On December 26, 2022 the man was located by police and arrested for failing to comply with a release order.

He was ultimately released from custody with a future court date.
