Arrest made after both Tim Horton’s locations were broken into in Blenheim

Man arrested for break and enter

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: On February 20, 2023, at approximately 10:50 p.m., two suspects forcefully entered the Tim Horton’s restaurant on Chatham Street South in Blenheim.

The suspects removed a significate amount of Canadian currency from the store and left.

The suspects returned a few hours later and removed the surveillance equipment.

On February 21, 2023, at approximately 1:39 a.m., two suspects forcefully entered the Tim Horton’s restaurant on Talbot Street West in Blenheim.

The suspects removed a significate amount of Canadian currency from the store.

On February 22, 2023, members of the Chatham-Kent Police Intelligence Section executed a search warrant on King Street South in Highgate and arrested one suspect.

The 41-year-old Highgate man was arrested and charged with three counts of breaking and entering and three counts of possessing property obtained by crime.

He was transported to police headquarters and held pending a bail hearing.
