Police: DNA warrant executed, B&E at Chatham construction site

Man arrested on a warrant

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: At 1:23 a.m., The Chatham-Kent Police Service was contacted by the Durham Regional Police Service advising they had the man in custody, who was also wanted on a DNA warrant held by CKPS.

CKPS Forensic Officers attended and satisfied the warrant.

The 36-year-old Whitby man was left in the custody of The Durham Regional Police.

Man arrested for break and enter

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: At 6:50 p.m., police responded to a break-and-enter in progress at a construction site on St. Clair Street in Chatham.

Police received information the man forced entry into a trailer.

Police arrived on the scene and located the man inside a supply trailer on the construction site.

The 55-year-old Dresden man was charged with breaking and entering.

He was transported to police headquarters and released with conditions and a future court date of April 10, 2023.
