Rita Patricia Day, a member of Walpole Island First Nation, passed away at the CKHA Wallaceburg Site on Saturday, March 11, 2023 at the age of 81.
Rita was the daughter of the late Victor and Agnes (Sands) Ermatinger.
Beloved wife of the late Lloyd Urain Day.
Greatest mother to Lloyd ‘Crocket’ (Donna), Eunice (Bullet), Jonathan, Liz (Jay), Anthony, Amina and Nathan (Elena).
Proud grandmother of 41, great grandmother of 35 and great great grandmother of 3 great great grandchildren.
Sister of Lorraine, Marilyn, Marie, Vicki and the late Nick, Fred, Gertrude, Ruth, Pat, Amos, Margaret, Sue, Mike and Lawrence.
Rita was always happy, enjoying time with her family and sitting in her front yard enjoying the willow tree.
Family and Friends are invited for visitation at the Haycock-Cavanagh Funeral Home, 409 Nelson Street in Wallaceburg, from 2-4 & 6-8 pm on Tuesday.
The funeral will be celebrated at the funeral home on Wednesday, March 15 at 11 am.
Interment to follow at Highbanks Cemetery.
