Calvin Blake

Mr. Calvin Andrew Blake, a resident of Wallaceburg, passed away peacefully with his family by his side on Thursday, March 9, 2023 at the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance, Chatham, at the age of 83.

Calvin was born in Wallaceburg and was a son of the late John and Jenny (Labadie) Blake.

Beloved husband of Sherron (La Rue) Blake for 64 years.

Loving father of Kevin (Cathy) Blake, Colleen (Wayne) Bowen, Theresa (Dan) Dumais and Melissa (Rick) Cadieux.

Sadly missed by his grandchildren Arren (Ashley), Stacey (Mike), Joe, Steven (Amanda), Matt, Stephanie (Joe), Tiffany (Kyle), Ashley (Ben), Tyler (Kellie), Chad (Rachel), Nick (Ashley) and his great grandchildren Nash, Brock, Hailey, Evan, Alyia, Keagan, Brooke, Maverick, Hllary, Abby, Ava, Jax, Kayla, Delilah, Hayden, Ciaenna, Paisley, Charlie, Bowie, Nash, Nova, Axl, Finley and Berlin.

Kind brother of Lila, Connie and Eileen.

Predeceased by his sisters and brothers Mary, Ed, Dorothy, Gordon, Bernard, Kathleen, Georgina, Jack, Bella, Jeannette, Teresa, Jimmie, Danny and Barb.

Calvin worked for Libby Glass in Wallaceburg for 43 years.

Family and friends will be received at the Eric F. Nicholls Funeral Home Ltd. 639 Elgin St., Wallaceburg, on Monday, March 13, 2023 from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, March 14, 2023 at 11 a.m. from Our Lady Help of Christians Church, Wallaceburg.

Following his wishes, cremation will follow.

As an expression of sympathy, donations to the Chatham-Kent Hospice, Crohn’s & Colitis Canada or Huntington’s Society of Canada may be left at the funeral home.
