Month-long investigation leads to drug trafficking charges in Sarnia

Lambton OPP officials allege: On March 2, 2023, members of the Lambton County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Community Street Crimes Unit (CSCU) arrested two individuals following a month-long drug trafficking investigation.

A search of the individuals and their residence, following the issuance of a search warrant, yielded suspected cocaine, methamphetamine, hydromorphone, morphine, ketamine, and bulk Canadian and U.S. currency.

A total value of the seizure is estimated at over $28,500.

A 20-year-old Sarnia man and a 25-year-old Sarnia man have been charged with the following:

– Possession of a schedule 1 substance for the purpose of trafficking.

The 20-year-old has also been charged with the following:

– Possession of a schedule 1 substance for the purpose of trafficking (additional count) and,

– Possession of a schedule 1 substance (two counts).

The accused have been released from custody and are scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice – Sarnia at a later date.
