Stolen vehicle in Chatham

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: Sometime early yesterday morning between 4 a.m. and 7 a.m., unknown suspects stole a black 2016 Kia Rio parked near Gray Street in Chatham.

Break and enter in Chatham

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: Sometime between 5 p.m. Friday night and 7 a.m. yesterday morning, unknown suspects forced their way into a garage on Raleigh Street in Chatham causing approximately $1,000 in damage.

Once inside, the suspects stole a John Deer riding lawn mower and other miscellaneous property.

Disturbance complaint leads to charges

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: Yesterday afternoon at approximately 12:20 p.m., police responded to the report of a verbal dispute between a man, a woman and a business owner at a motel on Grand Avenue East in Chatham.

Officers located the man and woman involved in the dispute out front of the motel.

Through investigation, police learned that the woman was currently bound by court conditions to not to communicate with the man.

The 48-year-old woman of no fixed address was arrested and charged with failing to comply with her release conditions.

She was released pending a future court date of May 8th, 2023.

The 37-year-old Chatham man was also arrested and charged with facilitating a breach.

He was released pending a future court date if May 11th, 2023.
