Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: On April 15, 2023, police responded to a robbery on McNaughton Avenue in Wallaceburg.
A 46-year-old Wallaceburg man was quickly located and arrested by police.
Through investigation it was discovered the man had previously attended the same store several times to steal items, additional charges of theft were added.
The 46-year-old Wallaceburg man was brought to Chatham-Kent Police Headquarters where he was held for bail.
While in custody the man became confrontational while having his fingers printed and began assaulting police.
Additional chargers for assaulting a police officer were added and he was held for bail.
