The Municipality of Chatham-Kent has announced that the Murray Street Bridge Rehabilitation Project is in the final stages of construction and will be opened to vehicular and pedestrian traffic on Sunday April 30, 2023 at approximately 7 p.m.
“Commissioning and testing of the bridge’s moveable span will begin on Friday, April 28, 2023 at 8 a.m.,” Municipal officials said in a media release.
“As part of this process, the bridge will be operated multiple times and there may be temporary delays for pedestrians crossing the bridge. It is expected that this testing will be completed by 5 p.m.”
Municipal officials added: “The Municipality appreciates the patience and cooperation of the residents in the community of Wallaceburg during this project.”
