Registration opening on May 8 for CKRecreation summer programs

Every summer has a story, let yours start with CKRecreation.

On May 8, registration will open for their popular summer programming, featuring a wide range of activities for all ages and abilities.

Whether you’re looking to stay active with our swimming lessons, explore the outdoors with our summer camps, or just have fun with friends, CKRecreation has something for everyone, Municipal officials say.

Their experienced summer squad is dedicated to providing an engaging environment for all.

This summer, in addition to their regular Stay-N-Play Camps, CKRec is excited to bring back our popular KIDventure summer camp.

KIDventure offers all the fun of our Stay-N-Play camps with the bonus of a fun field trip each week.

“We’re thrilled to be offering such a diverse lineup of programming this summer,” said Kelly Bachus, Supervisor of Recreation Services and Community Engagement, in a media release.

“Our team has worked hard to provide fun and meaningful activities that are affordable and barrier-free for Chatham-Kent residents to stay active and social.”

Free Rec Swims will also be returning this summer.

Free swims will be offered at all seven outdoor pools and two indoor pools starting in July.

Due to high demand, participation will be on a first come first serve basis.

To register for summer programming, visit their website at chatham-kent.ca/recreation, call 311, or visit a municipal centre starting May 8th.

Be sure to register early, as spaces are limited and tend to fill up quickly.
