Mr. Jean “John” Rock Fournier, a resident of Wallaceburg, passed away on Thursday, May 4, 2023 at the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance, Wallaceburg, at the age of 83.
John was born in Barnston, Quebec and was a son of the late Charles and Marie Rose (La Pearle) Fournier.
Beloved husband of the late Bernice (Huber) Fournier (2016).
Loving father of Mary Fournier and Michelle (Derek) McNeil.
Sadly missed by his granddaughters Jon-An McNeil, Hope McNeil and the late Frankie-Leigh Thompson (2003).
Predeceased by his brother Claude Fournier.
He will also be sadly missed by many sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and many family in Quebec.
Family and friends will be received at the Eric F. Nicholls Funeral Home Ltd. 639 Elgin St., Wallaceburg, on Sunday, May 7th 2023 from 2-5pm.
The Funeral Mass will be celebrated from Holy Family Church, Wallaceburg on Monday, May 8th 2023 at 11am.
Interment in Riverview Cemetery, Wallaceburg.
As an expression of sympathy, donations to the Shriners Hospitals for Children or Canadian Cancer Research may be left at the funeral home.
