OPP: Driving under suspension, stunt driving

OPP officials allege: On May 23, 2023, at approximately 11:45 a.m., an officer with the Chatham Detachment stopped a passenger vehicle on Communication Road north of Highway 401, Municipality of Chatham-Kent, following a driver’s license status notification from the Automated Licence Plate Recognition (ALPR) system.

As a result of the investigation, a 39-year-old of North York was charged with:

– Driving while under suspension

OPP officials allege: On May 25, 2023, at approximately 4:21 p.m., an officer with the Chatham Detachment stopped a passenger vehicle travelling on the eastbound Highway 401, Municipality of Chatham-Kent, to verify the licence status of the driver.

As a result of the investigation, the driver, a 34-year-old of Chatham was charged with:

– Driving while under suspension

OPP officials allege: On May 26, 2023, at approximately 11:09 a.m., an officer with the Chatham Detachment stopped a passenger vehicle on Highway 40 north of Brook Line, Municipality of Chatham-Kent, following a driver’s licence status notification from the Automated Licence Plate Recognition (ALPR) system.

As a result of the investigation, a 38-year-old of Sarnia was charged with:

OPP officials allege: On May 27, 2023, at approximately 4:35 p.m., an officer with the Chatham Detachment stopped a passenger vehicle travelling on the westbound Highway 401, Municipality of Chatham-Kent, after it was found speeding more than 70 Km/h above the posted 100 Km/h speed limit.

As a result of the investigation, the driver, a 28-year-old of Toronto was charged with:

– Drive motor vehicle – perform stunt – Excessive speed

– Fail to have insurance card
