Businesses stepping up to purchase cement cornhole games

Fostering community development and improving quality of life, Mayor Darrin Canniff is working with several local businesses on an initiative to sponsor the purchase of cement cornhole games for various locations across Chatham-Kent.

The sponsorship program would encourage community engagement, physical activity, and inclusivity.

“I am thrilled to announce this planned collaboration with local businesses in sponsoring the purchase of cement cornhole games for our community,” said Mayor Darrin Canniff, in a media release.

“These contributions will create opportunities for people of all ages and abilities to come together, enjoy outdoor activities, and strengthen community bonds.”

The sponsorship program would encompass multiple locations throughout Chatham-Kent, ensuring residents from various neighborhoods can benefit from the initiative.

Potential locations include parks, recreational areas, and community gathering spots, providing opportunities for individuals and families to enjoy friendly competitions and outdoor recreation.

Several local businesses have expressed their delight in contributing to the community’s growth and well-being.

“By sponsoring the cornhole games, we hope to promote active lifestyles, foster community connections, and enhance the overall quality of life.”

Pizza Tonite Chatham shared similar sentiments: “As a long-standing business of the Chatham-Kent community, we are excited to contribute to this sponsorship program. It is a wonderful opportunity to give back and support the health, happiness, and inclusivity of our fellow residents.”

“We are thrilled to contribute funds towards the purchase of cornhole sets and support our beloved community. By bringing this fun and engaging activity to Chatham-Kent, we hope to see cornhole tournaments sprout up all over community, fostering a sense of camaraderie, friendly competition, and community spirit,” said Nick Konjuvca, owner of Mamma Maria’s, in a media release.
