The Re:find Charity Thrift Shoppe recently kicked off the fundraising efforts for the River of Lights campaign in downtown Wallaceburg.
Re:find donated all of their proceeds on May 26 and 27 to the campaign, which was formed by the Downtown Wallaceburg BIA to fundraise for new holiday decorations in the downtown core.
“We are so thankful to the community of Wallaceburg for supporting this event, and to Re:Find for their donation of $1,563.25,” BIA officials said in a media release.
“The theme for the decorations is ‘River of Lights’ and we are excited to light up downtown Wallaceburg and our waterfront over the next five years.”
River of Lights Committee members Nick Hulme, David McCarron and Rachel Vandorsselaer accepted the donation on Thursday, June 1, 2023.
Re:find is run by volunteers and supports Wallaceburg Christian School and other local charities.
