A rainfall warning has been issued across Chatham-Kent.
Environment Canada officials say rain, at times heavy, is expected.
Hazards, include: Local rainfall amounts of 50 to 100 mm.
The timing is this morning into this evening, forecasters say.
“Very heavy showers and isolated thunderstorms are affecting portions of southwestern Ontario this morning,” Environment Canada officials say.
“Some areas may see rainfall amounts well in excess of 50 mm today. Localized flooding in low-lying areas is possible.”

“Heavy downpours can cause flash floods and water pooling on roads,” forecasters added.
“If visibility is reduced while driving, turn on your lights and maintain a safe following distance.”
