RCMP to host police fitness assessment workshop in Chatham

The Royal Canadian Mounted Police is inviting prospective applicants to attend a Police Fitness Assessment workshop in Chatham this week as part of its ongoing recruitment efforts.

The workshop is scheduled for April 2 at 6 p.m. Eastern time and will run for approximately two hours. It will take place at St. Clair College’s Chatham campus, located at 1001 Grand Avenue West.

According to the RCMP, “Our Police Fitness Assessment (PFA) workshops provide tips and techniques to help you start or improve your physical training for the PFA. You will have the opportunity to try the equipment and speak with PFA trainers. Get ready to work hard!”

The session will be conducted in English and is designed to give participants hands-on experience with the physical requirements expected of RCMP officers, along with guidance from trainers.

Those interested in attending are required to register in advance by emailing CR_RCMP_Recruiting-Recrutement_GRC_RC@rcmp-grc.gc.ca and including their name, contact information, and the date and location of the event.

Participants are asked to arrive 15 minutes early and to bring government-issued identification.
