Youth charged with assault

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: Last night around 7 p.m., police responded to a disturbance on Centre Street in Chatham.

Through investigation, police learned that the youth had assaulted two adults and cut another youth with a knife.

The 17-year-old youth was arrested and charged with three counts of assault, assault with a weapon and weapons dangerous.

She has been held in custody pending a bail hearing.

Break and enter in Blenheim

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: This morning at approximately 4:10 a.m., an unknown suspect forced their way into a business on Talbot Street in Blenheim by breaking through the front door.

Once inside, the suspect stole a large amount of lottery tickets.

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: This morning at approximately 5 a.m., unknown suspects smashed through the front door of a business on Grand Avenue East in Chatham.

Once inside, suspects stole various watches.
