Disqualified driver charged

Lambton OPP officials allege: On July 13, 2023, at 7:10 a.m., members of the Lambton County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) located a vehicle on Indian Road which was being driven by a disqualified driver.

A traffic stop was conducted, and the driver was taken into custody without incident.

A 26-year-old Wallaceburg man has been charged with the following:

– Operation while prohibited under the Criminal Code

– Operate a vehicle without insurance (Compulsory Automobile Insurance Act).

The accused has been released and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice at a later date. The vehicle has also been impounded for 45 days.

Crash leads to impaired driving charges

Lambton OPP officials allege: On July 13, 2023, at 7 a.m., members of the Lambton County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were notified by members of the public of a single-vehicle collision on Nauvoo Road.

Officers attended the scene and, upon speaking with the driver, it became apparent the individual was displaying signs of impairment.

The driver was arrested and transported to the Lambton OPP detachment where they provided two samples of breath above the legal limit.

A 56-year-old Strathroy-Caradoc man has been charged with the following:

– Operation While Impaired and,

– Operation While Impaired – Blood Alcohol Concentration (80 Plus).

The accused has been released and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice-Sarnia at a later date.
