Man arrested for failing to comply with conditions
Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: At 9:30 a.m., police responded to Park Street in Dresden for a disturbance.
Through investigation, police learned the man called his wife and entered an address she is known to be located.
Police confirmed that the man was conditioned not to go within 100 meters of her and not to this address.
He was located and arrested.
Upon a search incident to arrest, the man was found to be in possession of suspected methamphetamine.
The 35-year-old Dresden man was charged with possessing a controlled substance and two counts of failing to comply with an undertaking.
He was transported to police headquarters and held pending a bail hearing.
Man arrested for criminal harassment
Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: At 7:58 p.m., police responded to Elgin Street in Wallaceburg for a harassment investigation.
Police learned while the victim was taking his garbage, the man stopped his vehicle and began yelling at him.
The man had been cautioned several times previously by the officer to cease all communication with the victim.
The 42-year-old Wallaceburg man was located, arrested, and charged with criminal harassment.
He was transported to police headquarters and released with conditions and a future court date of August 14, 2023.
Man arrested for theft
Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: At 10:26 p.m., police responded to a business on Grand Avenue West in Chatham for a shoplifting investigation.
Through video surveillance, police identified the man.
The man was later located and arrested.
The 31-year-old Chatham-Kent man was transported to police headquarters and charged with theft and possession.
He was released with conditions and a future court date of August 14, 2023.
Man charged with dangerous driving
Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: On July 14, 2023, at 1:00 a.m., police responded to a motor vehicle collision on Grand Avenue West in Chatham.
Police learned the vehicle collided with the building, which resulted in significate property damage and physical injury to the passenger.
The passenger was transported to the hospital for medical attention.
The 53-year-old Ridgetown man was arrested and charged with dangerous driving causing bodily harm.
He was transported to police headquarters and released with conditions and a future court date of August 14, 2023.
