Woman arrested for probation violation

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: At 8:57 a.m., officers responded to Emily Street in Wallaceburg for a suspicious activity investigation.

Police received information that a vehicle was in the driveway of a recently sold house, and someone was attempting to enter the house.

The vehicle appeared to be occupied by three women.

Officers arrived on the scene and found all in order.

However, one of the women was wanted on an outstanding warrant for a probation order violation.

The 31-year-old Wallaceburg woman was arrested and charged with failing to comply with a probation order.

She was released with a court date of September 11, 2023.

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: On August 22, 2023, at 3:49 a.m., the woman was arrested by London Police Service.

The woman was wanted on an outstanding warrant for failing to attend court in relation to an assault investigation where she was initially charged with assault, resisting arrest, and assaulting a police officer.

The 41-year-old London woman is charged with failing to attend court.

She was transported to Chatham-Kent Police headquarters and held pending a bail hearing.
