Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: At 8:31 a.m., police responded to a home on Longwoods Road in Chatham Township for a disturbance.
Upon arrival, officers learned a verbal argument between the man and woman escalated into a physical altercation.
Officers established grounds to arrest both for assault.
The 54-year-old Chatham Township woman has been charged with assault.
The 48-year-old Chatham Township man has been charged with assault.
They were transported to police headquarters and released with conditions and a future court date of January 8, 2023.
