Dennis Gregory DeBot passed peacefully at his home, on Friday, November 24, 2023, surrounded by loving family, finding rest after a long battle with cancer.
Survived by his devoted wife, Sherry DeBot.
Children Chad DeBot (Trena) and Stacy Paolone (Mitch).
Grandchildren Isabelle, Summer, Brett, Brady and Alana.
Many adoring sisters Judy & Brian Pierce, Brenda & Ken DeWolf, Francine & Kevin Fox, MaryAnne & Jeff Parkes.
He will be fondly remembered by many nieces and nephews as well as Sherry’s children and grandchildren Melissa and Lindsay Molema, Max and Mila.
Predeceased by his parents Albert & Anna DeBot (Foulon) and his brothers Andre and Remi (Susan).
Dennis was born and raised in Wallaceburg, Ontario.
His early years were spent working alongside his father & brother on the family farm.
His love of working the land propelled DeBot farms forward, earning Dennis several farming awards for his business acumen and entrepreneurial spirit.
When not farming he enjoyed travelling with his wife, gardening and spending time outdoors.
He will be remembered affectionately by many friends, employees and business associates.
Family and Friends are invited to Celebrate Dennis’s Life on Wednesday, November 29, 2023 from 1-3pm at Cavanagh Reception Centre, 416 Nelson St. in Wallaceburg (across the road from the funeral home) (519-627-3231).
Lunch will be served throughout the afternoon with spoken words of remembrance taking place at 2pm.
