Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: On January 30, 2024 at approximately 8:01 a.m., the Chatham-Kent Police Service received a report of a stolen vehicle on William Street North in Chatham.
Through investigation, police were able to locate the vehicle a short time later at a different location in Chatham, with two suspects still inside of it.
A 33-year-old Chatham man and a 26-year-old Chatham woman were subsequently arrested by police and charged with Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Under $5,000.
Both parties were also found to be subject to several outstanding bench warrants for failing to attend court in relation to separate matters.
The man and woman were ultimately transported to police headquarters where they were later released on a Form 10 Undertaking with conditions and a future court date.
