James ‘Uncle Jimmy’ Blair

Mr. James William “Uncle Jimmy” Blair, passed away peacefully on Friday, March 8, 2024 at Chatham Kent Health Alliance, in Chatham, at the age of 75 years.

He was born and raised in Wallaceburg to his late parents, William and Stella (Cadotte) Blair.

Dear father of Eric Blair, Beth Anne (Dean) Hacker, predeceased by his 2 children Tammy and Jason.

Cherished grandfather of Jillian Blair, Mackenzie and Ethan Hacker.

Kind brother of Loretta Francoeur, Joanne (Dave) Blackman, Diane O’Leary, predeceased by his sisters Clara (late Henry)Alexnder, and Doreen (late Jim)Wise.

Best friend to his nephew Eldon Yacks, and always up for an adventure with his friend Dan Christopoulos.

He will be missed by number two son Jeremy Klauka.

reasured uncle to many nieces, nephews and will be remembered by many family and friends.

Jim worked at the Glass Factory for many years until it closed, and continued to work for the companies that followed in its place until he retired in 2020.

He ran the Glass Workers Hall, in Wallaceburg, for many years and was always involved in many recreational activities.

Jimmy loved fishing and could always be found fixing, building something or remodeling any of his families houses.

He was a master of all trades nothing to big or small and would try to fix everything for everyone.

He was part of “Close Enough Construction”, special thanks to his apprentices.

The late James Blair is resting at the Eric F. Nicholls Funeral Home 639 Elgin St. Wallaceburg.

Visitation will take place on Friday, March 15 from 12 to 2 PM at Holy Family church. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated following the visitation at Holy Family church at 2 pm.

Cremation will follow and, as an expression of sympathy, donations to Chaps would be appreciated.
