Well-being check in Chatham leads to public intoxication charge

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: At 4:42 p.m., police responded to Thames Street in Chatham to conduct a well-being check on a young woman.

Officers located the woman intoxicated and unable to care for herself.

The 17-year-old Chatham woman was arrested and transported to police headquarters, where she was released to a family member.
