Traffic stop in Wallaceburg leads to bail violation charges

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: At 5:18 p.m., while on general patrol, an officer conducted a traffic stop on Murray Street in Wallaceburg.

The officer learned the man was wanted on an outstanding warrant because of a March 28, 2024, bail violation investigation, where the man was found violating a curfew condition.

The 25-year-old Wallaceburg man was arrested and transported to police headquarters, where he was held pending a bail hearing.

He is currently facing the following charges: possession of stolen property and failing to comply with a release order.
