Police investigating a home invasion in Sarnia

Sarnia Police Service officials allege: On April 10th, 2024 at 3:15 am the Sarnia Police Service responded to a home invasion in the 300 block of Exmouth Street in the City of Sarnia.

A male approached the patio of the victim’s residence, smashed the glass door, and entered his apartment.

The victim was awakened by the commotion at which time he confronted the individual.

A struggle ensued, in which the victim was kicked, kneed and punched.

At one point the male smashed a television over the victim’s head.

The male fled the residence prior to police arrival, nothing appears to have been taken.

As a result of the assault, the 46-year-old male victim suffered a large laceration to his head, along with cuts and scrapes to his hands and knees.

He was treated at hospital and later released.

The male attacker appear to be tall and has an athletic build. He was wearing a black baseball hat, a grey hoodie-style sweatshirt, black jeans and black shoes.

The male also was wearing a distinct array of rings on his right hand. The video appears to depict the male wearing three (3) large rings spread across three fingers.
