Intimate partner violence investigation in Chatham leads to uttering threats charges

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: At 10:16 p.m., police responded to Moonstone Crescent in Chatham for an intimate partner violence investigation.

Upon arrival, officer learned the man threatened to harm the woman and damaged her cell phone during a verbal argument.

The 32-year-old Chatham man was arrested and transported to police headquarters, where he was held pending a bail hearing. He is currently charged with uttering threats and mischief.
