Disturbance in Chatham leads to assault charges

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: On June 17, 2024, at 12:36 a.m., police responded to King Street West in Chatham for a disturbance.

Upon arrival, officers learned the man had assaulted an employee of a business.

The man was located nearby, intoxicated.

The 20-year-old Chatham man was arrested and transported to police headquarters, where he was held until he was sober.

He was released with conditions and a future court date. He has been charged with assault.
