OPP officials allege: On July 6, 2024, at approximately 4:05 p.m., an officer with the Chatham Detachment stopped a passenger vehicle on the westbound Highway 401 near the 71-Kilometer marker, Municipality of Chatham-Kent, following a driver’s licence status notification from the Automated Licence Plate Recognition (ALPR) system.
As a result of the investigation, a 26-year-old from North York was charged with:
– Driving while under suspension
– Fail to surrender permit for motor vehicle
