Disturbance at the Chatham courthouse leads to pubic intoxication charge

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: At 2:30 p.m., Chatham-Kent Police responded to a report at the Ontario Court of Justice in Chatham for an intoxicated man causing a disturbance.

Officers arrived on the scene and located the man.

He was highly intoxicated and unable to care for himself.

The 54-year-old Chatham man was arrested and transported to Chatham-Kent Police Headquarters, where he was held in custody until sober.

He was issued a Provincial Offences Notice for public intoxication.
