Ken Cadotte

Kenneth Joseph Cadotte, age 81, of Wallaceburg, Ontario, passed away peacefully on August 23, 2024, surrounded by his loving family. Born in August of 1943 in Wallaceburg, Ken was the cherished son of the late Edgar and Leila (Sterling) Cadotte.

Ken was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend. He is survived by his beloved wife of 60 years, Clare Marie (Coveny); his children, Beth (Mac), Denise (Greg), Kevin (Becky), and Chris (Tiffany); and his grandchildren, including Ashton (Katherine), Shawne, Kaila, Ethan, Joel, Tyler, Kyle, and Spencer, as well as his great-grandchildren, Emma and Claire. He is also survived by his brother Alan (Liz), and was predeceased by his sister Carol (Conrad) and brother Dale as well as many loved nieces and nephews.

Ken devoted over 58 years to his passion for the tool and die industry, serving as a plant manager, floor manager, and head of sales across three local tool shops. He played a pivotal role in establishing the original skilled trades program in Wallaceburg, which paved the way for many aspiring toolmakers.

A lover of life, Ken cherished quality time with family and friends.

He and Clare enjoyed numerous boating excursions, summer and winter fishing on Mitchell’s Bay, family cottage vacations, golfing, dancing to oldies, playing the spoons, and teaching the finer points of euchre to their grandchildren.

When not engaged in these activities, Ken and Clare shared their love and skills through various family home renovations.

The family extends their heartfelt thanks to Dr. Louzada and Dr. Mount of Victoria Hospital, London, Chatham Hospice, and their extraordinary staff of nurses and volunteers. Our gratitude also goes to Father John, Chatham-Kent Health Alliance, and the many friends and family members whose love and support have allowed us to treasure our precious moments together.

Ken’s unwavering faith, resolute spirit, deep love for his family, and zest for life will forever remain in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to have known him.
